Policies to purchase a ShowCase Miniature Poodle puppy:
When reading the following please keep in mind that I'm not trying to be harsh. Past experiences warrant that I post these policies so everyone involved are fully aware of my expectations. I want to be clear & upfront about my policies/expectations so no one is confused. I really am easy to get along with, however, I am very passionate about my dogs and only want what is best for them. I also have the right NOT to sell a puppy/dog to anyone for any reason.
***I AM LOCATED IN NORTHWESTERN NORTH CAROLINA***
Be prepared to answer questions. If you are not willing to answer my questions regarding how MY puppy/dog will be kept & cared for then go somewhere else. I want to be sure my puppies/dogs are being groomed regularly, vaccinated properly, seeing a vet when they need to, being fed a high quality food, etc. I do not sale a puppy or dog to the first person who waves some money around, my dogs are more important to me than that. I don't want them placed into the wrong hands and bred solely to pump out puppies. I don't treat my dogs that way and I don't want someone else treating them that way.
I expect you to have questions for me and I welcome them. If I don't know the answer to your question I will find someone who does. I do ask that you please do some research regarding any breed of dog you think you may want to own. It's pretty simple, the internet has tons of information at your fingertips, go to shows, talk with breeders, etc. All this should be done before you buy a new puppy. I am available to my puppy buyers after they take their new puppy home. Questions, comments, help with training, house breaking, etc. I can always be contacted via email or phone.
All Companion puppies $2500 and are sold on spay/neuter contracts. This means you will be required to sign a legally binding contract agreeing that you will have your companion puppy spayed or neutered by 12 months of age. I do follow up on this. I hold all AKC paperwork until I receive proof of spay/neuter from your veterinarian. SEE MY CONTRACT HERE!!
All companion puppies are sold on LIMITED AKC registration. This means NO BREEDING.
All puppies are sold with a 3 year health guarantee against any genetic life threatening diseases/defects. This guarantee is in writing and on the same legally binding contract that I provide to you regarding the spay/neuter. All puppies are vet checked at 8 weeks prior to going home and have age appropriate vaccinations and dewormings. SEE MY CONTRACT HERE!!
NO ONE other than the initial adopter/buyer is allowed to pick up the dog/puppy. - If you want a dog from me please don't ask for your daughter, sister, brother, mother to pick him/her up. If you don't want the dog enough to make the trip then you don't need my dog. I also do NOT meet people at gas stations, malls, stores, etc.
***UPDATE: NO BREEDING RIGHTS DON'T ASK*** Due to the lack of dedicated individuals who truly understand what it takes to breed dogs and the amount of mutt breeders trying to lie to obtain breeding dogs from reputable breeders, I will no longer sell puppies with full registration. I am done with people who say they want full registration, will show and do what they are supposed to but don't do it. Therefore, no one will be getting breeding rights. UKC offers altered conformation classes for spayed/neutered dogs and they can be shown in performance events in both AKC and UKC. Pricing for breeding/show puppies starts at NO AMOUNT OF MONEY WILL GET A DOG FROM ME ON FULL REGISTRATION. .
I do not breed to "fill orders" I do not have puppies available 24/7/365. I usually will have one to 3 litters per year and usually keep at least one puppy from each litter to continue my program. This is my hobby, not my livelihood, I work a full time job to support my dog show hobby.
PLEASE READ REGARDING DEPOSITS AND WAIT LISTS---I will only hold a puppy with a deposit. Puppies are chosen in the order I receive deposits AFTER I decide which puppy or puppies I'm keeping. Once I receive your deposit I will mark that puppy sold. Deposits can be check, Zelle or Venmo ONLY. Puppy deposits are $500 and are NOT REFUNDABLE. When it comes time to pick up your puppy the remaining balance of $2000 is due in CASH ONLY (I hate to be this way but I've been burned twice). The easiest/quickest way to place the deposit is via Zelle or Venmo, if you choose to send a check I will allow 5 business days to receive it, if it is not received within those 5 business days the puppy will be placed back up for sale. If you have any questions about this please ask beforehand! You will be updated weekly with new photos and updates so you can see how your puppy is growing. I upload dozens of puppy photos and videos on my Facebook page so be sure to go like my page. I do my best to take photos every Sunday and post on Facebook however, sometimes life happens. Please be patient and understanding that I work a full time job, get sick, go out of town for shows, etc and sometimes pictures are delayed. I usually make a post on Facebook if this is the case so you are aware of what's going on. Puppy Deposits are $500 and are non-refundable.
I will absolutely always take back a puppy/dog at any time during it's lifetime. However, with that said, I fully expect that when you decide to purchase a puppy from me that YOU have done YOUR research!! I EXPECT that YOU are going to be a COMMITTED dog owner and will do everything in your power to help your new puppy become a well adjusted member of your household. Having a new puppy is hard!!! It's just like having a 15 month old human baby 24-7. They cry, whine, make a mess, have accidents, etc. It is YOUR responsibility as an adult to do your research regarding training, crate training, feeding, grooming, etc. I will always offer advise and try to help you but ultimately it is YOUR responsibility to learn these things. When you bring your puppy back to me after having him/her for 2, 3, 4 weeks and tell me you just decided you can't handle taking care of a dog and didn't realize how much work they are then you have just become an irresponsible pet owner. I have to have the puppy re-evaluated by my vet, I have to worry about where you've taken the puppy, is he/she going to bring a disease like Parvo or kennel cough in on my other dogs, etc. I have to find a new home for the puppy and when a new prospective owner comes along their first question is "What's wrong with him that he was returned?" Even though it wasn't the puppy's fault he was returned, people still feel there has to be something wrong with the puppy. THEREFORE I DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS.
NO Shipping, I do not fly puppies.
Please do not bother contacting me if you want to use one of my Poodles for producing any type of "doodle" or "poo". If you are looking for one of these so called "designer" dogs please look at your local shelter. Poodle mixes that are being marketed as labradoodles, yorkipoos, chiapoos or any other name with "poo" or "doodle" in it is simply a mutt. People who breed these dogs are doing nothing more than pumping out puppies for profit. They don't show to make sure their breeding stock has correct conformation and most importantly they do NO health testing. Please do not support back yard breeders who simply breed dogs for profit. A reputable breeder puts so much money into showing and health testing their dogs there is no way to make money when breeding only one or two litters a year. NO reputable breeder of ANY breed would ever cross breed their dogs to produce more mutts.
If you're thinking of buying a "merle" Poodle please be aware that merle is NOT a naturally occurring color in Poodles. Poodles come in a variety of colors but merle is not and has never been one of those colors. These are not purebred even though the greeders breeding them will claim they are. Merle was introduced by using a breed that comes in that color such as an Australian Shepherd then someone lied on the paperwork to register the offspring. Please do your research! |
